Town Meeting approved Article 30, granting the Select Board the authority to acquire land and easements necessary for the reconstruction of Route 3A. The safety project will cover the stretch of road from the Lobster Pound to Muzzy’s Corner.

Deirdre Anderson noted that this authorization is essential for the town to remain on the state’s Transportation Improvement Plan for 2027. The project aims to improve safety along the highly traveled corridor. The article passed unanimously, meeting the two-thirds requirement for land acquisition.
